SVICCAR Hospital, Tirupati, hosted a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Conference on June 29, 2025, bringing together 200 participants, including nursing professionals, healthcare practitioners, and expert speakers. Themed Comprehensive Cancer Care: A Holistic Approach in Oncology Nursing, the conference highlighted the need to address not only the physical, but also the emotional, psychological, and social dimensions of cancer care.

The day featured a series of insightful lectures and discussions covering a wide range of topics, including chemotherapy care pathways, monitoring toxicities, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, radiation oncology best practices, palliative care, rehabilitation, communication skills, and oncology nutrition.  These sessions highlighted the critical role nurses play in delivering multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.

Hands-on skill lab workshops offered practical training in ostomy care, PICC line insertion, chemo port needle access, Basic Life Support (BLS), IV cannulation, and hand hygiene, reinforcing the importance of evidence-based practices in improving patient outcomes.

The event also fostered multidisciplinary collaboration among oncologists, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers, further underlining the power of teamwork in comprehensive cancer management.
