Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri - Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a national public health insurance scheme of the Govt. of India that aims to provide free access to health insurance coverage for low income earners in the country. An estimated 50% of the population of the country qualifies for this scheme.
Ayushman Bharat - PM-JAY (AB – PM-JAY), provides free secondary health care for those needing specialist treatment and tertiary health care for those requiring hospitalization.
Eligible citizens can receive cashless medical treatment of up to Rs. 5 Lakh per annum as a part of this scheme.
