On April 25, 2026, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Cancer Care and Advanced Research (SVICCAR) successfully conducted a Cancer Awareness Programme at Hotel Kences, Tirupati. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the General Manager and hotel staff, reflecting a strong commitment towards health awareness and preventive care.
The programme was led by Dr Anusha, who delivered an informative and engaging session on cancer awareness. She explained the different types of cancers, common causes, warning signs, and the importance of early detection. Special focus was given to breast cancer and cervical cancer, highlighting the need for regular screening and timely medical consultation.
Dr Anusha also emphasised preventive measures such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding tobacco and alcohol, regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and routine health check-ups. She explained the significance of the HPV vaccine in preventing cervical cancer and encouraged eligible individuals to consider vaccination.
