SVICCAR celebrates Nutrition Week with awareness and healthy habits

Nutrition Week at SVICCAR – TCCF highlighted the theme “Eat Right for a Better Life” through creative displays, interactive counselling, and healthy snack distribution, encouraging patients, staff, and visitors to adopt balanced diets for better health and disease prevention.

Nutrition Week was observed at SVICCAR – TCCF from September 1 to 7, 2025, in line with the national initiative to promote health and wellness through balanced diets.  Themed “Eat Right for a Better Life,” the programme aimed to spread awareness among patients, attendants, and staff about the role of nutrition in maintaining health, supporting recovery, and preventing diseases.

The week featured a range of engaging activities. A nutrition-themed rangoli created in the hospital lobby drew attention to the importance of healthy eating in a creative manner. Educational posters and banners carrying the India Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN) logo shared simple yet impactful dietary tips across the hospital premises.

Interactive counselling sessions were held for OPD patients, attendants, and staff, offering practical guidance on how balanced nutrition supports immunity, boosts energy, and reduces the risk of lifestyle-related diseases. To reinforce the message, healthy snacks such as boiled chana and watermelon were distributed, demonstrating easy ways to include nutritious foods in daily life.

The programme received enthusiastic participation from patients, attendants, and staff. It served as a meaningful step towards encouraging healthier food choices and highlighted the importance of nutrition as a cornerstone of overall well-being.
