50-year-old Jaya (name changed) came to SVICCAR in December 2020 with multiple painful ulcerated nodules over her left chest wall, due to which she couldn’t sleep. Her shoulder movements were restricted due to pain and swelling in her upper limbs. Upon evaluation, it was found that the cancer had spread to her right breast, lungs and liver. Her handicap had also affected her mental health.
The SVICCAR team explained the planned line of treatment to Jaya and her husband, along with the possible adverse effects and risks. Over the next few months, Jaya responded well to the treatment, and she was able to recover fully by July 2021. With the ulcerated nodules gone and her pain subsided, she was now able to move her shoulder, and sleep well too.
News about SVICCAR’s contemporary approach and best-in-class treatment protocols has spread far and wide thanks to the recovery of patients like Jaya, who would otherwise have accepted their ailments as fate.
It’s no wonder then that the number of patients walking in for affordable and high-quality cancer care at SVICCAR has seen a significant upward trend since its launch, making this hospital a much sought-after destination for cancer patients in Andhra Pradesh.
